We here at First Offenders take pride in acknowledging the success of our writing colleagues. So when we first heard that that huge pain in the ass FOFO James O. Born just won the Florida Book Award in the Popular Fiction category, we threw up in our mouths a little bit were thrilled. We're certain that no one else submitted a book for consideration the competition was fierce and that they've had vote counting issues down in Florida in the past that Escape Clause is a worthy choice. So please join us in petitioning the state for a recount congratulating Jim. We thought Meltzer's book was way better couldn't be happier.
What a touching tribute! ;)
Congratulations, Jim!

Leave it to the FO's to show why crime fiction writers are known for their selflessness in rooting for their colleagues, in eschewing pettiness, and in providing role models for authors of other (lesser) genres.

P.S. Congrats, Jim.

Congratulations, Jim!
However, I would like to know if any of the judges are prone to getting speeding tickets, and if there's been a precipitous drop in the fines thereof.
